Event details

Band Of Horses are proud to announce a very special guest for their headline show at Melbourne's Forum Theatre on Sun 24 July. The South-Carolina based outfit will be supported by their longtime friend Gareth Liddiard of The Drones with a world-first, retrospective performance set to delight fans.

The specially commissioned performance, entitled Gareth Liddiard's MK-Ultra will be reinterpreting songs selected from The Drones’ extensive catalogue as well as songs from Gareth's solo album, Strange Tourist, in a style that's lighter on the bombast and heavier with the melody and atmospherics.

MK-Ultra will encompass Gareth on electric guitar/vocals with Dan Luscombe and Steve Hesketh from the Drones on keyboards, drum machines and percussion.

The announcement is yet another reason not to miss Band Of Horses in July, as their brand new album, Why Are You OK - released last month - continues to dazzle critics worldwide.
