: Black Bear Lodge is a music venue in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. It features two large levels, each with stages for live performances from national and international acts. The upper level also offers a bar and balcony area for more intimate shows. The whole venue has a cool rock-and-roll vibe, including graffiti-style art on the walls. With great sound and lighting, the atmosphere is always electric with a great selection of beers and wines to suit all tastes. Black Bear Lodge is the perfect place to relax, drink and take in a show.

Julia will play an East Coast headline tour in late July, supported by Sydney up and comers Middle Kids, before heading out on a world tour that includes eight major festivals and support slots with rising buzzworthy Chicago act, Whitney and New Zealander, and Australian favourite, Marlon Williams.

Hailing from Australia’s Blue Mountains, Julia Jacklin is a guitarist and singer songwriter like no other. Her music flows with the aching current of alt-country and indie-folk, augmented by her unique rich vocal and observational playful wit.

Her single ‘Pool Party’ has already gained worldwide attention with influential tastemakers NPR, Consequence Of Sound, DIY Mag, The 405, Noisey, to name a few, already singing her praises. She has piqued the interest of specialist radio gurus from Radio 1, triple j, BBC 6, triple j Unearthed (where she was recently named ‘Artist Of The Week’) and Apple Music UK who featured her single on their ‘Best New Artist’ playlist.
