Event details

We are thrilled to announce that Parisian DJ and producer of world acclaim ANTINGONE is not only gracing out shores, but specifically gracing our club, and really specifically doing so at MACHINE this month. Antigone is one of those artists that has proliferated into our boxes and playlists at a rapid rate. If you haven’t heard of him, you’ve nevertheless heard him, because people you know and like play him.

His entry into the world of electronic music has been highly acclaimed. With his initial EP Forbidden Works published by Construct Re-‐form. He has since made an art of collaborating with many artists whilst also keeping up with a hectic solo release schedule.

Tracks like "As I walk to you" for Construct Re-‐Form or his EP "The Day The Sky Fell" (for Indigo Aera) illustrate the hypnotic, melodic and melancholic style of his productions. This very personal electronic style has guided Antigone through the doors of clubs such as Fuse, Trouw, Corsica Studios, Rex, Tresor, Berghain and awarded him a residency at Concrete.

His meteoric ascent and the warm reception to all his productions make Antigone an emblematic player in the French Techno scene. In 2016, he released a track on PoleGroup (Compilation Unknown Landscapes Vol. 3 mixed by Exium), did a remix with Shlømo for AWB (Taapion Records) , then released « We Move As One EP » in collaboration with François X on Dement3d, and the EP Saudade on Token Records. And now he brings all of that to a highly anticipatory Melbourne audience.

We hope you will join us for this very special event.

Support acts for the night across the two levels of My Aeon, (both we might remind you on Funktion One sound systems) are:

Andrew TIll, Simon Slieker, Joey Sarantis, Steven Sakkas and Chiara Kickdrum.

This is a deliberately brief press release, because we will not confuse the issue here: you will want to come and hear ANTIGONE. Be with us.
