Vinyl Shindig brings together a Collective of like minded DJ's that have a unique obsession with obscure and rare Techno, House and Electronica.
With over 30 years of collecting vinyl and music, each artist has a back catalogue that is still active to the current day'.

We’re taking you back, and bringing back not only the best of Detroit, New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, UK, Europe, Italian and of course Australia, but also the tracks that might have unfairly missed out on a rotation back then, as well as the latest currently produced vinyl inspired by that era and music made now for the future.

DJ’s Dan Woodman, Matt Newton, Joe Troha, Richard Tropea, Paul Kelly and James Keighery will deliver a experience with no set times, and the ability for each artist to mix in at any given moment.

With a setup comprising of 4 turntables, 3 mixers and 2 CDJ's, not to mention state of the art lighting, lasers and projections by
James Keighery, – aka ‘Thought Projections’.

All DJ's have a vast experience within Electronic music since the early 90's, and feel a need to incorporate this magical time, with the current feel of club culture.
Step back into time with our drink prices, that will be wound back to the 90’s for the occasion.

This is an event created by Music lovers for music lovers. Not a commercial enterprise looking to maximize profits. With free entry, and a stones throw from the St Kilda foreshore, come down to bask in an atmosphere and credo where the origins have been built, and the future is still being constructed.
