For Episode 6, we’ve invited Dutch-born Steffi (Ostgut Ton/Dolly) to the Cool Room studio, and we're going back to the PTV underbelly at Platform One.

DJ, label-head and producer, Steffi is a key figure in contemporary electronic music.

As a DJ, Steffi is a renowned storyteller. Her sensibilities extend from her roots in Dutch electro, Belgian body music, and IDM to Detroit techno, deep house, bass, breaks, and beyond. With eight years of residency at Berlin’s legendary Panorama Bar, a number of releases on Ostgut Ton, and over two decades of experience in the electronic music sphere, Steffi can tie a myriad of genres, contexts, and aesthetics into a cohesive and emotive narrative, and we’re itching to see how she brings these out at Cool Room.

As a label head, Steffi values quality over quantity first and foremost. With Klakson, alongside fellow countryman Dexter, she has released a refined selection of Dutch electro and techno from artists like Privacy, Mesak, and DXR; while her label Dolly explores lighter textures from artists including Basic Soul Unit, XDB, and Obsolete Music Theory (Steven Tang).
