Loomer returns this week, welcoming prolific producer / DJ Hymns. Cutting his teeth as co-founder and booking agent for the long-running Cool Room, Hymns, the production and DJ alias of Jacob Cusumano, has rapidly developed into one of most exciting artists coming out of Australia’s underground scene. With a sharp musical focus on the intersections of electro, acid house and breakbeats, the first half of 2017 alone has seen Hymns’ discography swell to include the ‘Waves of Nothing’ EP on Salt Mines, debut appearances on local imprints LKR Records and Momentary Records, and forthcoming material on international labels from Poland and France. Having toured Europe in Summer 2016, and with prime-time appearances at Daydreams, Club D’erange, Camp Nong and Rose Quartz already complete, 2017 is sure to result in a further honing of Hymns’ DJ craft.
