After our techno down-under party with Myth Music join us for the next Autosea instalment at our familiar home of Boney. We welcome our next guest, who comes deep from down-under, Daze! Daze hails from the not-so-country town of Ballarat, which seems to be a breeding spot for muso talent, with Daze proclaiming that some of the best imaginations come from remote parts. Stoking the fires of early UK break-beat house via spatial Detroit acid-electro and rough East Coast techno, Daze has had a huge breakout year with his release, ‘Lips’, rapidly making him one of the most hotly-tipped new producers coming out of Australia. Continuing to roll with the Lobster Theremin imprint, his next EPs ‘Neuromance’ and ‘Longhorn’ collect rave cuts and neck snapping breakbeats. Here he jumps between bleak worlds, flexing unreleased material from his international crew – Person of Interest, Dan White, Ozel A.B., Moodcut and more. Having already established himself through multiple releases on Lobster Theremin, Daze next hit ‘Unknown To The Unknown’ and ‘Valcrond Video’. Both records were released last year, building the Ballaratian’s status. Fresh off the back of a string of dates across Europe and beyond, the daring DJ will have you throwing down all-sorts at Boney. We’ve asked techno goddess Chiara Kickdrum to bring her powerful techno forces to our d-floor, hot off closing out the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre last year. We also welcome Myles Mac, a man who is more than familiar with our venue’s ins and outs. The dude behind Melbourne Deepcast and one-half of Project 95 will be showcasing his favourite records to date. Our new French export Blacksheep, along with usual suspects Paul Lynch, Mitchell Gee, Street Cymbal, Eskapet and Josh Wain round out the evening.
