Tom Milek Album Launch - The Gaso w/ Sleep Decade + Al Parkinson

Line-up

Event details

To celebrate the release of Tom's debut album 'The Idea of Home', he'll be hitting the stage along with a complete band at Melbourne's favourite place to hear new live music, The Gasometer Hotel. Milek and his band will play the album through in it's entirety, in what's sure to be a very memorable night, for those who find themselves in the welcoming embrace of the hotel at the corner of Smith and Alexandra. Joined by dream-pop, ol' mates Sleep Decade playing a blend of distorted folk and dense synth drones into delicately executed, deeply atmospheric songs of a sophmore album on the horizon.. With the lovely Al Parkinson who'll reach out, pulling directly at your heart-strings with her soulful voice, playful ukulele, and wonderfully honest songs of love and loss. It would be easy to dismiss Tom Milek’s music as another ‘guy with a guitar’, but he is so much more than that. We have to do better this time and take care to understand what is going on inside this artist's head. This is not a person motivated by advancing his reputation through infiltrating scenes, nor is he someone who pays any attention to types of aesthetics that help propel creatives through their career. This is someone who is completely dedicated to crafting something that, when listened to by the right person, will stop them in their tracks. Get 'The Idea of Home' now at www.tommilek.com
