Event details

We’ve had a slightly longer than usual break between drinks, but it’s all for a good cause.

After Daze tearing us apart, we needed some time to recover and boy have we got a treat for y’all here. Back inside Boney and closing out our Winter series, we proudly present to you Sven Weisemann.

Sven Weisemann had his first spin at the ripe age of 13. The extremely diversely talented German was born in Potsdam. As well as learning his way around the decks, the self-taught musician took up piano, acoustic guitar and a range of percussion at a young age.

From there he grew with his ever eclectic sets, which took on a huge range of influences from classic sounds, soul, jazz, soundtracks, deep house and dub to his beloved Detroit techno and US house.

Weisemann moved to producing music that draws deeply on the legacy of Chicago and Detroit, yet somehow manages to end up sounding as fresh as a daisy.

His records such as 'Vibe' and 'Slices' are house music that is half atmosphere and half beats, and not afraid to take its sweet time to lull the floor with their charms.

The German also composes jazz and soundtracks - traditions that form the basis of his house records, many of which you can find on an abundance of labels. Just some of these names are- Meanwhile, House Café Music, Apple Pips, Kann, a.r.t.less, Wandering, Liebe*Detail, Real Soon, Styrax Leaves, Essays, Freund Der Familie, Fauxpas Musik, Echocord, Delsin, Telrae, Just Another Beat and his own Mojuba.

Mojuba is where Weisemann's music slots together with friends Nick Solé and Oracy. Together they all form a distinct and highly collectible, label sound.

Desolate, Jouem, Phidias are all aliases you may have come across. All three belong to Weisemann and circulate his extensive discography.

Also entering inside the bone zone we have Awesome Wales. They’re that good we just have to keep asking them back. Acid Safari will too be bringing his veteran touch and the ever so bright and sunny J Hookway will be popping down for the first time. We also welcome dance therapist Saint James to the office for his initial appointment.

Taking care of the crusts, Paul Lynch, Street Cymbal, Eskapet and Josh Wain will be also be slicing it up for you.
