Written across a period of 12 months in transit - from bus trips in Eastern Europe, to snowy apartments in Brooklyn, friend’s couches in Sydney and freezing post-club mornings in Berlin, consider Intimacy & Isolation an auditory ‘a year in the life’. - Ara Koufax (Luke Neher & Sam Gill) have worked together since bonding in high school, introducing their new project in 2014 with ‘Brenda’: a feature of the Cut Copy-curated compilation Oceans Apart. Hot on the heels of their 12” release on Fort Romeau’s imprint Cin Cin, the pair now return with their first live show in two years. Energised Melbourne’s bubbling electronic music scene, Ara Koufax have released music through Downtime, Cutters Records and NYC-based label CSCN. The duo’s work - which oscillates between experiments in house, techno and noise - has drawn attention from the likes of Tim Sweeney, Caribou’s Dan Snaith, Pitchfork and BBC Radio 1.
