They've already got trucks on the ground and are planning on starting work any minute now, regardless of the fact that they don't have approval from Indigenous land owners in the region. It's absolutely disgusting that the Federal and QLD governments are allowing this to happen. There’s only 3 weeks to influence the major parties to come out against the coal mine. That’s 3 weeks of making it an issue that’s impossible to ignore. Tim Nicholls LNP was QLD Treasurer under Campbell Newman. He cut renewable energy investment, led on compulsory acquisition of Aboriginal land and rammed through approvals for mega coal mines and ports. ALP's Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk still needs to come out against Adani’s coal mine so that whoever takes government will use their power to stop this climate disaster. So far she's been a huge disappointment. The outcome of the Queensland election will affect us all. We share one climate, and this coal mine must be stopped. You can take action to pressure these politicians to do the right thing. That's why we're throwing this party to stir you into action! During the week of Nov 20 - 24, MPs will be back in their local offices. This will be the perfect opportunity for everyone to get on the phone, and if not, at least shoot off a few emails, to their local Federal MP asking them to block the $1 billion loan of tax payers money that the government is planning on GIVING Adani, and asking them to put all their effort into making Adani pack up and piss off.
