Event details

L.A. Witch are today thrilled to announce they will be playing a run of shows along the Australian east coast this December. With their debut self-titled album having dropped on September 8th via Habit Music Company in Australia and New Zealand, and Suicide Squeeze internationally, the trio are ready to shake things up on the live circuit here down under. The band will enchant audiences in Byron Bay, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Wollongong with their reverb-drenched desert-rock tunes, so prepare to be put under their spell. L.A. Witch have been touring relentlessly in the United States, extending their magick to fans in the UK, and now finally they’ll be touching down in Australia to do the same. Hard work knows no limit with these LA natives, having scored slots next to fellow Los Angeles musos Mystic Braves, Seattle psych-rockers Night Beats, Atlanta favourites The Coathangers, and Londoners The Kills. L.A. Witch was recorded at Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa and mixed in Highland Park, Los Angeles, though early incarnations of several songs from the album originally surfaced on limited edition singles released over the last several years. The band’s initial aspirations were humble. “We never really thought we would or could release an album,” the band says. “We were really just finding each other and finding our sound.” But after touring nearly non-stop for the last three years, L.A. Witch developed a singularly seductive, haunting, and wistful sound that enamored the garage rock, dream pop, psych, and broader indie communities. The album is out now via Habit Music Company and Suicide Squeeze Records.
