#SAVENEWAIJ Studios campaign is well under way with a quarter of the funds raised needed to keep this creative space alive! For those of you that may not be aware, the warehouse formerly known as 18 Dawson Street Studios has been battling with the local council for several months to keep this creative hub open. To keep this place $20,000 will be required to renovate it to a dynamic co-working space and fulfil all the requirements from the council with regards to permits and paperwork. All around us these spaces are being shut down due to various reasons from luxury apartments being built instead or the bureaucracy around making it ever more difficult for spaces like this to thrive. For those of you have worked and collaborated in this space you will all know how important that magic that permeates through these walls are, not just for those within it but for wider society as a whole.
