Espace Noir pres. Frits Wentink (Netherlands)

Line-up

The Bottom End

579 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, Australia

 Directions

The Bottom End is a new kind of hybrid venue: a pub-disco-diner and is destined to become iconic. The love-child of a fair-dinkum Aussie pub and a hedonistic party palace with an all-night pseudo-US diner thrown in for good measure.

Event details

Espace Noir's second summer instalment introduces their first international act. On January 12, 2012, Frits Wentink released his first 12" EP. Exactly six years later, having established himself as one of The Netherlands' most innovative artists, Frits will be bringing his hypnotic leftfield dance music to Melbourne for the first time. As director of labels Bobby Donny and Will & Ink, the Amsterdam based producer has curated a collection of thought-provoking house and techno, infusing hard-hitting drum loops with wobbling synths to create a soundscape which has been brought to some of the biggest stages in Europe, alongside some of the scene's biggest names. On Friday 12th January Frits will be hosted at one of Melbourne’s largest, nay, grandest "24 hour Palais de Danse", revamped and renovated, 3rd level of The Bottom End above Banana : Peach.
