Austin-based experimental synth quartet S U R V I V E will play Sydney and Melbourne headline shows in February next year. Adding to their already-announced Laneway Festival appearances across the country, S U R V I V E will perform at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 7th February and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Friday 9th February.
With two of the band’s four members responsible for scoring the recent soundtrack for hit US television series Stranger Things, S U R V I V E have risen to prominence during the past few years, receiving critical acclaim for both their recorded material and captivating live performances.
On their Australian dates, S U R V I V E will treat audiences to an absolutely not-to-be-missed transcendent live show. Relapse has described it as, “towering stacks of hardware synthesizers, drum machines, effects and amps, supported by an amazing custom light show and thick, industrial amounts of fog”.
“... their ability to put on a captivating live show which relies solely on their compositions is a true testament to their musicianship...”– The Skinny UK
“Since seeing the synth four-piece playing their towering stacks of synths live in their hometown of Austin... I’ve been hard pushed to find anything that packs as visceral a punch as these guys.”– Dummy Mag
