Event details
Although there have been improvements in maternal and child health in Papua New Guinea, tragically women continue to die of preventable causes.
No Roads Expeditions partners with aid agencies in PNG to deliver targeted health care and empower local communities with health literacy and knowledge.
On our upcoming expedition in May, No Roads Expeditions hopes to bring a birthing model to train and educate health care workers and women about safe birthing practices. Empowering local women with knowledge is invaluable in reducing child mortality and improving maternal health. The birthing model can be used to educate communities about safe birth, some of the potential complications and ways to manage and mitigate these risks.
Please join us for a night of performances by a collection of wonderful Melbourne singer-songwriters at the Toff. All proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of the birthing model (MamaNatalie) and other resources for this trip to PNG.
