Event details

For its first time this April, Animals Dancing presents a national travelling caravan, rolling though your town, bringing with it a few friends from overseas to play tricks on your ears. First up Young Marco - DJ, musician, Safe Trip Records label head, Whiskey aficionado & luggage tester, Marco Sterk is no stranger to sharing his music worldwide, whether he’s DJing, performing live as one third of ambient super-group Gaussian Curve (with Gigi Masin & Jonny Nash) or one half of Young Wolf (with Wolf Müller AKA Jan Schulte), or compiling the fruits of his digging knowledge and taste. Joining Marco will be Parisian DJ & person behind the much lauded Antinote label: Zaltan. A favourite past guests who’s happy playing 1€ flea market French boogie as he is banging out techno and whose label has been behind all sorts of styles since 2012, touching on synth-pop, techno, house, kosmische and the more experimental from the likes of D.K., Tolouse Low Trax, Alek Lee, Leonardo Martelli, Syracuse, Geena, Nico Motte, Albinos, Raphaël Top-Secret, Mind Lotion + many more, your ears are in capable hands with Zaltan. And thirdly, Toronto’s Invisible City label, shop and DJ Soundsystem operator, Gary Abugan - celebrated for reissuing many seemingly unreachable grails and unearthing a tonne of underappreciated oddities, Gary’s Deejaying is as much about celebrating the overlooked music of the past as it is about just simply having a good time. Pointing this marvellous bunch in the right direction are Animals Dancing tour guides: Otologic & Andee Frost + more TBA
