Event details
A message from Hobart, so give it your full attention: the Native Cats, dazzling, barrelling post-punk rearrangers, shadow royalty of the Australian underground, your esoteric faves’ esoteric faves, are returning to mainland stages for, if you still believe in linear chronology, the first time in a long time. The duo, unreplaced but altered in its own way - singer and electronics operator Chloe Alison Escott, now, and bassist Julian Teakle, still - are touring in support of their sensational new album John Sharp Toro (RRR Album of the Week, Edge Radio Album of the Week, some APRA royalties trickling in from Europe already). They’ve had several dicey decisions comprehensively vindicated and they look very proud of themselves but here’s their secret: they’re absolute treasures and it’d lift their dear hearts to see you there.
Supports TBC.
