Now that we've got your attention .... For our second instalment of 'Summer Romance', we've rounded up two of our favourite acts, as good things come in pairs. Heavyweights in their own right, Peter Van Hoesen and DJ Nobu come together for a night of pure power. A Common Ground favourite, Peter Van Hoesen returns to do what he does best; melt brains on the dance floor plains via an involuntary trip to space without a seatbelt. The Belgian Berserker continues to reshape the boundaries of techno with his versatile productions and unrelenting DJ sets. His prior manipulations of Melbourne dance-floors have induced mind-altering experiences and this collaboration with Japanese techno veteran DJ Nobu will be no exception. Joining PVH is another Common Ground favourite, DJ Nobu, the smiling assassin. Nobu's label Bitta is a pillar of Japan's underground techno scene, releasing artists such as Wata Igarashi and Iori, in conjunction with his own genre-bending productions. Last time he was in town the Mercat's basement was destroyed (R.I.P.). We've been working to replicate that incredible experience and we've sure found the place. Who better to prep the crowd for this chaos than Jess Sneddon, another Common Ground staple. Purely based on her musical know how she's carved out her own way of controlling your body and mind through her own brand of 'dance' music. Join PVH and Nobu. Join us.
