Formerly known as The Palace, the venue has been reborn as one of Melbourne’s premier music spaces offering a neat mix of indie, rock, funk, hip hop & soul. Boasting a capacity of over 700, the venue has hosted world-renowned acts such as Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Presets and 311. 170 Russell offers a unique clubbing experience featuring a huge stage, vibrant lighting and sound systems. A large outdoor beer garden is also located at the back of the venue, perfect for those summer nights.

The Exploding Boys announce their next special event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Cure’s breakthrough album, “Disintegration”. “Disintegration: A Celebration of The Cure” features an all-star cast of performers including Katy Steele (Little Birdy), Ashley Naylor (Even), Trish Young (The Clouds), Ashley Rothschild (Caligula), and David Challinor (Sounds Like Sunset). Songs to be performed include the original vinyl release of “Disintegration” as well as a vast selection of The Cure’s greatest hits from a selection stretching back to the 1980s. The backing band performing for this amazing show will be The Exploding Boys, featuring current and ex-members of Died Pretty, Glide, Knievel, Scarlet, and Copperline.
