Theatre Royal in Castlemaine is the oldest theatre in Australia that is still standing, having been built in 1853 and still operating as a fully functioning venue for live theatre and music. Located in the heart of Castlemaine, it stands proudly on Hargraves Street offering a delightful mix of recent releases, independent cinemas and occasional live performances. The theatre itself is a majestic, ornate structure that draws in visitors from all around the world, looking to be entranced by the rich history and enjoyable events that Theatre Royal offers. Theatre Royal allows patrons to enjoy the traditional theatre experience, seating up to 650 people in the Grand Dinning Room, with the lobby leading through to the Main Auditorium and balcony. Visitors can sit back, relax, and be treated to an array of amazing shows on offer.

Beloved Australian supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper – Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby – reveal they’ll release their highly anticipated second full-length album, Wild Seeds, on Friday 9 August via Liberation Records. A collection of 12 songs, Wild Seeds is the long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 self-titled debut, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart and has been certified Gold. To celebrate the release of their new album, Seeker Lover Keeper will hit the road with their live band for an extensive national tour in September/October.
