The Safe Trip label-head, dream House archaeologist , digger & producer continues his long-running tour of the world, dropping in to Melbourne for one night only open till close. Whether issuing new tracks from up and coming artists, or overlooked relics of the nineties and beyond, Marco Sterk has quite an ear. Across his Safe Trip label’s four year span, he’s shed light on Italy’s golden era of Ambient House, Japanese Synth excursions of Satoshi & Makoto, the Belgian downtempo/tribal trance not trance work of duo Trans-4M, while concurrently putting out contemporary tracks from producers like Artis, Darling, Max Abysmal, Ben Penn and collections of remixes from himself & Jan Schulte. Sterk has also found time over the past few years to record his own tribal/ambient meditations for Bali’s Island of the Gods label, compile his own edition of the ’Selectors’ series for Dekmantel and of course do what he does best, DJ absolutely everywhere.
