Laneway Festival 2020 Melbourne

Line-up

Event details

St Jerome's Laneway Festival started off in 2004 as a concert series just outside a small Melbourne bar in an alleyway. The initial concept was called "Summer Series" where bands would perform on a stage every Sunday throughout the summer. Before they knew it, in 2005, the first edition of the festival was born with a sold-out crowd, ready to get down and party!
Originally started in Melbourne, Laneway Festival now takes place in 5 locations across Australia. The festival has extended its domination within the area as well in places like New Zealand and Singapore.
The Melbourne edition of the festival bares a sacred obligation for Laneway veterans. They've witnessed how the festival grew and blossom into a nationwide phenomenon. They've been feeling the same vibe for the past 15 years, and this year things are not about to change.
With a resounding and diverse line-up, only fit for the Melbourne audience, 2020 guarantees to produce lasting Laneway Festival memories.
On February 8th, the most significant Edwardian park in Australia, Footscray Park, will welcome St Jerome's Laneway Festival. It will be for the second time Melbourne will experience the festival at Footscray Park. The previous iteration before 2019, was held at Footscray Community Arts Center (FCAC). 20,000 Laneway Festival attendees will experience the sounds of "The 1975", Charli XCX, Ocean Alley or Tones, and I in a location that bears utmost importance for the people of the Kulin Nation.
