Event details

Having established himself as a six-string hotshot, Marcus King and his incredible band of rockers return, ready to deliver a southern fried brand of blues and psychedelia inspired by rock ‘n’ roll. All five members create a blistering, yet soulful unit that has honed their synergy through touring. At only 23 years old, Marcus King has already been performing live for fifteen years and has established himself as an enthralling world class live music talent. He has appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, made his debut at The Grand Ole Opry performed with Chris Stapleton on a recent US arena tour and at Crossroads Guitar Festival; not to mention the series of sold out headline shows, including his namesake festival - The Marcus King Band Family Reunion. Previous Marcus King releases have received critical acclaim from the likes of VICE Noisey, NPR and Rolling Stone who acclaimed him an artist you need to know and described him as an “electrifying rock performer.” Hitting number eight on the Billboard Blues Album Charts officially put the The Marcus King Band on the global music map. Now in his early 20’s and with his first solo album El Dorado due on out January 17th - produced by Dan Auberbach of The Black Keys no less - Marcus King and his band are returning to Australia hot on the heels of a sell-out 2019 tour. Don't miss the songwriter/guitarist who is fast becoming one of the most soulful voices of his generation.
