Lyceum Theatre is a West End venue located in the City of Westminster, London. Opened in 1803, it is one of the oldest theatres in existence. Standing on the historic Wellington Street, the Lyceum Theatre has offered audiences historical, operatic, and dramatic performances since its inception. The theatre has a capacity of close to 2000 people and hosts both new and exciting work as well as classic productions. Its stage has hosted some of the most acclaimed theatre performances in the history, including the original productions of Magic Flute, Agamemnon, Messiah as well as many more. The Lyceum Theatre is home to the long-running musical spectacular The Lion King and is an important part of London's rich theatrical heritage. With recent renovations, the theatre has kept true to its long history whilst providing a modern theatre experience, transporting its guests to a time of Classical performances and grandeur.
