 Directions

Middlesbrough Town Hall is a grand building located in Middlesbrough, England. It was opened to the public in 1883 and was originally designed by British architect Sir George Gilbert Scott as a grand civic building for the town. The building has a large stone façade and is topped by a protruding clock tower, lending it an iconic look. Inside, it preserves many of its original features, such as ornate Victorian decorations. It hosts a number of theatrical performances, live music events, art exhibitions, and other social events throughout the year. Its facilities are also available for hire for private functions. In 2006, the Town Hall was refurbished and its grounds were landscaped, making it a popular destination for visitors to Middlesbrough.
