Manchester Academy (Academy 2) is a live music and event venue located within Manchester University Students Union, on Oxford Road. It has a 1,400 capacity and is known for its wide range of events, from indie bands, to comedy, cabaret, theatre and club nights. It is one of the largest venues in Manchester and offers an intimate atmosphere for live music. The building has been part of the university since 1929 and is Grade II listed. The venue features a full production, with professional sound and lighting equipment, as well as a variety of VIP areas. It also has its own bar, and a large selection of food that can be enjoyed before or during a show.
