Trinity College, Dublin, is a historic college located in the heart of the city. Established in 1592, the college is the oldest in Ireland. It is known as the alma mater of some of Ireland's best known public figures, including Nobel Prize Laureates Jonathan Swift, William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, and Ernest Walton. The college is home to the Book of Kells, a famous illuminated manuscript writen in the 9th century. It is also home to a number of impressive buildings, such as Old Library, the Long Room and the Campanile. The college's grounds are beautiful and provide a peaceful atmosphere in a vibrant city street.
