WACA Ground is located in the suburb of East Perth, in the state of Western Australia. It is the home of the state's premier cricket clubs, the Western Australian Cricket Association. The ground, which was officially opened in 1893, has a capacity of 24,500 and is considered to be one of the best cricket grounds in the world. The ground has hosted many important cricket matches, including the 1992 ICC World Cup. It also hosted the 2007-08 Commonwealth Bank Series between Australia and India. Aside from cricket, the ground is also used for other sports such as AFL, soccer, rugby union and baseball, as well as entertainment events. It is an iconic ground and continues to be a beloved venue in Perth.
