But, let’s talk about... <3 BEAÚT LIVE <3 We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting the single launch and an amazing set for a brilliant live act that just happens to be deeply entrenched in our hearts and the journey of Beaút. He Cries Diamonds, a band lead by a beautiful collaboration between rock veteran Richard Andrew and leading queer performer Agent Cleave, will be gracing the Beaút stage to bring you their uniquely mesmeric sound in celebration of the launch of the second single on their AA single release, and its corresponding music video. Following on from the launch of their single, ‘CINCINNATI’, He Cries Diamonds joyously change gear from dark to light with the release of the upbeat ‘Friends and Lovers’. A pop-driven glimpse into Melbourne’s nightlife, set in the glow of the morning after, ‘Friends and Lovers’ is a love letter to the contemporary queer experience, paying tribute to the personalities that make Melbourne’s nightlife so rich. The music video, directed by Billy Reiss, is a celebration of friendship, and a tribute to the many varied queer bodies that inhabit the scene. Through friendship love and sex, the personalities that make this city take centre stage in an irreverent display of fun is a bond of togetherness amidst a political climate that threatens to define us and divide us. Queer is queer, there is no definition that can separate us. What better place to release this work than Light Beaút, amongst the Friends and Lovers that made this all possible. This launch is a very special one for us because He Cries Diamonds is the latest artistic foray of our deeply loved and exceptionally remarkable Agent Cleave, who has performed at Beaút twice previously on very special occasions. So this is a total family affair. We can’t wait for you to meet the band!! Further to this exciting gig and video DeBeaút, there will contributions from exciting artists, an incred cast of characters, performances, surprises and gags all for the love of Mama B. Also.. the walk-off has only been getting more and more extra as we’ve moved to Saturday, so the catwalk will be back to give you all the platform you deserve to strut your errthang like the star you are.
