The iconic XXXX Brewery is set to open its gates to the public for the first time in 26 years for a huge celebration of beer, live music and bites - unveiling the inaugural XXXX Presents: Live at the Brewery, kicking off Saturday, 16th November.

This is the first time an event of its kind has been held inside the home of Queensland’s favourite beer, and what better way to celebrate the historical venue by reveling in some of the best music Australia has to offer, stubby in hand, side by side with the Brisbane public.

"XXXX Presents: Live at the Brewery gives us the opportunity to invite the community in for a fantastic day, giving the locals a sense of ownership of the place, and a bit of that XXXX magic," XXXX Brewery Venue Manager Shannen Crapper explains.

Live At The Brewery will feature food stalls, limited edition merchandise, along with five local and interstate artists performing at the base of the famous XXXX silos. Starting at 2pm and finishing at 9pm, the party continues with post event celebrations in the XXXX Brewery Alehouse. The line up to be announced soon, is curated by fellow Brisbane icons Jet Black Cat Music. The team have previously programmed local festivals such as End Of The Line, and are credited for bringing international indie artists such as Khurangbin, Snail Mail and Connan Mockasin to Brisbane.

"Everything from the bands to the poster design for this event has been exciting to programme." says Jet Black Cat music's Shannon Logan. 'I can't wait to share what we've put together with the rest of Brisbane.'

Having recently celebrated its 140th birthday, the XXXX Brewery has been a mainstay in the lives of Brisbane residents for generations. The boutique festival aims to keep this tradition going, bringing the best of Queensland’s tight knit culture into one buzzing afternoon.

"In many ways, the Brewery belongs to all Queenslanders, so we’re pretty excited to share it,” says Shannen Crapper.

All ticket-holders will get a free brewery tour that’s valid until 30 June 2020 (valued at $32).
