James Morrison is, by anybody’s standard, a virtuoso in the true sense of the word. Besides the trumpet, this multi-instrumentalist also plays piano, all the brass, saxophone, and double bass.
With Bird’s Big Band, Andrew will place more emphasis on the classic, swinging repertoire, given the depth and power of sound that only a big band can deliver. The band will feature some of Melbourne’s top improvising musicians, with some of Melbourne’s finest jazz singers set to join the band as occasional featured guests.
